About Kedarnath

Kedarnath Temple is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in India, dedicated to Lord Shiva and situated in the breathtaking Garhwal Himalayas. Located at an altitude of around 3,583 meters near the Mandakini River, Kedarnath is part of the sacred Char Dham Yatra and one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, attracting millions of devotees every year.
Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and scenic landscapes, Kedarnath offers a unique blend of spirituality, adventure, and natural beauty. The journey to the temple involves a 16 km trek from Gaurikund, making it both a spiritual and physical experience. The temple remains open only between April/May and October/November due to heavy snowfall in winter.
Whether you are a pilgrim seeking divine blessings or a traveler looking for Himalayan serenity, Kedarnath promises an unforgettable and soulful experience.
