Itinerary
Arrive at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station, meet our representative, and transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft). En route, stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake (Barapani) for boating and photography. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Evening free to explore Police Bazaar for shopping and local food. Dinner and overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day trip to Cherrapunji, known for its waterfalls and limestone caves. Visit: Nohkalikai Falls – India’s tallest plunge waterfall Mawsmai Cave Seven Sisters Falls Eco Park and Ramakrishna Mission Museum Later, return to Shillong for dinner and overnight stay. (Optional: Trek to Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat – requires extra day.)
After breakfast, drive towards Mawlynnong Village, recognized as Asia’s Cleanest Village. Visit the Balancing Rock, Sky View Point, and Riwai Single Living Root Bridge. Continue to Dawki, located on the Indo-Bangladesh border. Enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River, famous for its crystal-clear water. Return to Shillong by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, explore the best attractions in Shillong: Shillong Peak (for panoramic views) Elephant Falls Lady Hydari Park Don Bosco Museum Ward’s Lake Evening free at leisure or shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at Shillong.
After breakfast, drive to Guwahati. En route, stop again at Umiam Lake View Point for photography. In Guwahati, visit Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Temple (Peacock Island) (optional boat ride), and Assam State Museum. Evening free for a cruise on the Brahmaputra River (optional). Dinner and overnight stay at Guwahati.
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey. Your Meghalaya adventure concludes with wonderful memories of misty hills and waterfalls.
